To receive an approved Travel Authorisation, you will need:

A Mastercard or Visa credit card to pay the $40 Travel Authorisation application fee
If fully vaccinated, have your vaccination certificate/card ready to upload to your application. Click here for Bermuda’s definition of fully vaccinated
If unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, have proof of travel health insurance ready to upload to your application. Click here for the requirements for valid proof of travel health insurance
Note: Unvaccinated children 11 years and under travelling with fully vaccinated parents/guardians can upload their guardian’s vaccination certificate instead of proof of travel health insurance.

Take a COVID-19 test at a testing facility no more than two before arrival (fully vaccinated travelers can take a PCR test up to 4 days before arrival). Click here for the requirements for a valid pre-travel test. Children under 2 years old do not need to test. Upload your negative test result certificate to application.
How to Apply for a Travel Authorisation

Step 1: Up to a month before you are due to arrive Bermuda, you may begin your travel authorisation application form by clicking the “Apply for Travel Authorisation” button at the bottom of this page. If you are an adult travelling with children under 18 years old, complete your Travel Authorisation first, then complete a Travel Authorisation for each of the children travelling with you, citing yourself as their guardian.

You do not need to complete a Travel Authorisation for children under 2 years old.

Step 2: Complete the application form and upload proof of vaccination (if vaccinated) or proof of travel health insurance (if unvaccinated). Unvaccinated children 11 years and under travelling with fully vaccinated parents/guardians can upload their guardian’s vaccination certificate instead of proof of travel health insurance.

Step 3: Pay $40 to complete and save your Travel Authorisation application. Only Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted (no American Express). Before saving your application, please verify that the email address entered on your application form is correct.

Non-residents who do not submit a valid vaccine certificate or valid proof of health insurance will be notified by email and will be given the opportunity to submit a valid document. If a traveller cannot submit a valid proof of travel health insurance or a vaccination certificate, they will be denied a Travel Authorisation and will not be able to travel to Bermuda

Step 4: Your application will be stored until the arrival date listed on your application. Four days before your scheduled arrival to Bermuda, you will receive a reminder email to upload your pre-arrival negative test result to complete your Travel Authorisation application. A link will be provided to allow you to return to your application form. You must submit your completed application at least 1 day before your scheduled arrival. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by the Quarantine Authority.

If approved, the Quarantine Authority will email your approved Travel Authorisation. If you do not receive your Travel Authorisation email, check your junk/spam folder to make sure the Travel Authorisation is not there.

Travellers who do not submit a valid pre-arrival test result will be notified by email that their test is not valid and will be given the opportunity to submit a valid result. If a traveller cannot submit a valid test result, they will be denied a Travel Authorisation and will not be able to travel to Bermuda

Step 5: Upon arrival to Bermuda, have your Travel Authorisation available electronically or printed for scanning by port health and immigration.
