Entry Requirements

- All travelers must present a yellow fever certificate upon arrival
- Must present a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test issued no more than 72 hours prior to departure
- Prospective travellers or visa applicants should note the following:
- 1. Passengers must arrive in Ghana with a negative COVID-19 test result that is not more than 72 hours old, from a reputable health facility.
- 2. Every passenger will be required to disembark in Ghana wearing a face mask.
- 3. All passengers will be required to undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test at the Accra Kotoka International Airport on arrival. Cost for the test will be borne by the passenger.
- 4. Test results will be ready in 30 minutes, and those who test negative will be discharged to go home while those who test positive will be handed over to the Ghanaian Health Officials.

- Valid Signed Passport
- Applicant must submit their current signed passport.
- Applicant must also include a color copy of the information page of the passport.
Note: In order to obtain visas, passport must have at least two blank visa pages side by side. Pages in the passport marked “Amendment” pages are not valid for visas. JIDS recommends your passport is valid for at least six months past the last day of stay from international destination.

- Must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online travel site. E-confirmation from an airline or travel company showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure to and from your visa destination. Acceptable with a valid record locator.
Photo Requirements
- Your head must face the camera directly with full face in view.
- Neutral facial expression or natural smile, with both eyes open.
- Taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis.
- Taken in the last 6 months.
- Plain white or off-white background.
- 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- Head between 1–1 3/8 inches (25–35 mm) from chin to top of head.
- Printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper, in color.
- No glasses.
- No hat or head covering (exceptions for documented religious or medical reasons).
- Full face visible; no shadows on face.
- No headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
If Traveling for Business
Note: Self-employed must also submit a copy of a recent bank statement.
- For business letter please note the following:
- Applicant must submit a Business letter of support from a U.S. based company.
- This letter must be on your company letterhead.
- This letter must be sign by someone other than the applicant.

Health Requirements
- International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow Fever as well as one copy is required and must be presented with application.
- Visit the Center for Disease Control: CDC.GOV for complete health requirements.

Non-U.S. Citizens
- If you’re a United States Alien resident, a copy of your Green Card must be attached to your application.
- If you’re a United States Visa holder, a copy of your U.S. Visa must be attached to your application.

- Application formsigned by both parents or legal guardian(s).
- Notarized letter of consent signed by both parents or legal guardian(s).
- Original and copy of the minor’s birth certificate.
Additional Information
Letter of Invitation
- Letter of Invitation from host company in Ghana.
- Copies accepted.
- Copy of HOST in GHANA identification.
- If staying with family or friends Invitation from the host in Ghana along with a scanned copy of invitee in Ghana.
- Hotel confirmation.
- Register with the US Embassy in the countries you will visit.
