Entry Requirements
- All travelers must be prepared to present a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate, in English or Arabic, taken within 72 hours before arrival.
- Check with the Consulate to see age of exempt children.
- Fully vaccinated individuals are exempt if they have approved vaccination certificates with valid QR codes.
- Tourists must hold valid travel insurance to cover medical expenses in Egypt.
- Passport and Visa are required.
- FORM ATTESTATION for departure from Egypt.
- Business travelers MUST get visa in advance stamped in passport; no visa on arrival in Egypt. Not eligible for E-visa.
- EVISAS available for TOURISM.
- Submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online travel site. E-confirmation from an airline or travel company showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure for Egypt is acceptable with a valid record locator.

Photo Requirements
- Your head must face the camera directly with full face in view.
- Neutral facial expression or natural smile, with both eyes open.
- Taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis.
- Taken in the last 6 months.
- Plain white or off-white background.
- 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- Head between 1–1 3/8 inches (25–35 mm) from chin to top of head.
- Printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper, in color.
- No glasses.
- No hat or head covering (exceptions for documented religious or medical reasons).
- Full face visible; no shadows on face.
- No headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
If Traveling for Business
As of June 2021 : Requirements:
- Duly filled and signed Visa Application Form (please use the attached form)
- Two passport photos (2×2) with a white background. Applicants must face the camera directly, showing both ears.
- Original valid passport (valid for 6 months from date of entry to Egypt)
- Photocopy of your valid US green card or US visa (please identify the visa to know the supporting documents)
- Travel itinerary (flight ticket & accommodation confirmation)
- Conference details — VISA SUPPORT LETTER
- Money order payable to Egyptian Consulate ($25 for Single; $60 for Multiple)
- Two months’ most recent bank statement
- Business travelers MUST get visa in advance; no visa on arrival in Egypt.

- Note: Self-employed must also submit a copy of a recent bank statement.
- For business letter please note:
- Applicant must submit a business letter of support from a U.S.-based company.

- Nationals of USA who arrive from Guinea, Liberia or Sierra Leone will be screened on arrival. Passengers will be quarantined if Ebola is suspected.

Accompanying Minors
- Application form signed by both parents or legal guardian(s).

- If you’re a United States Alien resident, a copy of your Green Card must be attached to your application.
- If you’re a United States Visa holder, a copy of your U.S. Visa must be attached to your application.
Additional Information
Valid Signed Passport
Applicant must submit their current signed passport. Applicant must also include a color copy of the information page of the passport. Note: In order to obtain visas, passport must have at least two blank visa pages side by side. Pages marked “Amendment” are not valid for visas. Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date. However, JIDS recommends your passport is valid for at least six months past the last day of stay from international destination. JIDS can help you add additional pages to your passport or renew it if you need more validity. If you require passport services, please refer to our passport services section.
