Entry Requirements
- Visitor visa issued upon arrival for up to 90 day stay.
- Health Declaration form on arrival.

- Valid, signed US passport with a minimum of 6 months validity from the last day of stay.
- MINORS in addition to the passport and under the age of 18 traveling with both parents must provide original birth certificate, please visit the South Africa website for full details of minors traveling with or without parents, requirements may be different.
- At least two side by side blank visa pages in the passport is required, in addition to the pages if visa is required, or even if visa is not required.
Photo Requirements
- Your head must face the camera directly with full face in view.
- Neutral facial expression or natural smile, with both eyes open.
- Taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis.
- Taken in the last 6 months.
- Plain white or off-white background.
- 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- Head between 1–1 3/8 inches (25–35 mm) from chin to top of head.
- Printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper, in color.
- No glasses.
- No hat or head covering (exceptions for documented religious or medical reasons).
- Full face visible; no shadows on face.
- No headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
Health Requirements
- Yellow fever certificate is required only if the applicant is passing through yellow fever belt area before entering South Africa.
