Entry Requirements
Important
- U.S. passport must be signed, valid for at least 6 months, and contain 2–3 blank visa pages (amendment pages are not valid).
- If your passport does not meet the requirements, we can assist with obtaining a new passport or a passport renewal.
- Travelers coming from or transiting selected countries in the past 14 days may be required to take a free rapid antigen test on arrival for surveillance.
Visa Application

- Submit your current signed passport and include a color copy of the information page.
- Visa Application form completed.
- Computer-generated itinerary or e-confirmation showing departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure to/from Kenya (valid record locator acceptable).
- Copy of flight itinerary or a letter from a travel agent on company letterhead confirming booking.
- East Africa Tourist Visa allows travel between Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda with the same multiple-entry visa. Enter first through the issuing country. Check “East Africa” on the Kenya application only if Kenya is your first entry

Photo Requirements
- Your head must face the camera directly with full face in view.
- Neutral facial expression or natural smile, with both eyes open.
- Taken in clothing normally worn on a daily basis.
- Taken in the last 6 months.
- Plain white or off-white background.
- 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- Head between 1–1 3/8 inches (25–35 mm) from chin to top of head.
- Printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper, in color.
- No glasses.
- No hat or head covering (exceptions for documented religious or medical reasons).
- Full face visible; no shadows on face.
- No headphones or wireless hands-free devices.
Health Requirements
- Vaccinations are not required unless traveling from/through an infected area.
- Visit the CDC for complete health requirements: cdc.gov/travel.
